April 13 Langhorne Creek

We set off from Serviceton for somewhere to stay on the coast south of Adelaide. First stop was Bordertown. Quick stop to see the white kangaroos. Took a photo especially for Julia - remember our trip to Adelaide?
Next stop was Keith. We were really impressed with this town. Nice shops, including a lovely cafe where we got our morning coffee. Nice gardens including a fountain.

They have a pretty special monument at Keith. I'm sure anyone who has seen it will certainly remember it. That is, of course, the Land Rover on a pole. Who would have thought of that?

We drove towards the coast looking for some where to possibly stay the night. Some lovely coastline, but no where suitable for the night. We stopped for lunch at Meningie. Another nice country town. The gloomy, cold weather had cleared to a warm sunny afternoon. Very pleasant.
We checked out a few more places and then ended up at Langhorne Creek, Frank Potts Reserve. Oh well, it's not on the coast but it is a nice spot. We'll explore more of the Fleurieu Peninsula tomorrow.

  1. So charming to think of me when you saw white kangoroos!

Look at all the places you're going to, have you been mistaken as German tourists by now? Or as people from Manchester, Jude?!

Are you leaving little notes everywhere you go for the easter egg hunt Rob?
